Birch:
The hydro-alcoholic extract of birch has a powerful diuretic, lymphatic draining, urinary tract antiseptic and anti-inflammatory action. This is thanks to its content of saponins (up to 3-4%), flavonic glucosides and polysaccharides, which cooperate globally to a draining effect of excess fluids, nitrogenous waste (especially uric acid).
Dandelion:
Beyond the universally known diuretic properties, dandelion - and in particular its rhizome and root - increase the production of bile and its flow from the liver to the intestine (properties respectively defined as cholagogue and choleretic). Its extracts are therefore used as purifying, decongestants and liver detoxifiers.
Nettle:
The large quantity of known active ingredients make nettle one of the plants with the greatest number of medicinal properties. The leaves contain an abundance of chlorophyll (whose chemical composition is very similar to that of hemoglobin that dyes our blood red) which gives the plant a strong anti-anemic property. It is used against anemia because the iron and folic acid contained in it stimulate the production of red blood cells. It also purifies the body, aids diuresis and alkalizes the blood facilitating the elimination of toxins and acid metabolites.
Juniper:
Phytotherapeutic literature exclusively indicates the diuretic activity of juniper berries.
Coriander:
Coriander is carminative, antispasmodic and stomachic. Melilot: Melilot is considered a specific symptom of venous-lymphatic insufficiency: it owes this property to coumarin (soluble in alcohol), which is not an anticoagulant, but is able to stimulate the SRE (Reticuloendothelial System) and increase tissue oxygenation thanks to the improvement of microcirculation. It works as a protective vessel of the veins by increasing their tone and reducing capillary permeability. It is important to point out, however, that melilot does not act directly on blood coagulation, but carries out its action at the level of the venous walls, increasing their tone and reducing capillary permeability (escin-like action).
Ononide (bull's-arrest):
In the bull's-arrest there are multiple active ingredients such as: citric acid, tannins, flavonoids, phytosterols, saponins. These constituents make the shrub act as a diuretic, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, spasmolytic, antispasmodic, azote diuretic, depurative.
Kentaura minor:
Kentaura minor combats mild digestive and gastrointestinal problems. It promotes liver and stomach secretions. The bitter substances stimulate the activity of the stomach in a reflex way, thus promoting the secretion of gastric juices. Used as a diuretic. It fights intestinal parasites.
