LIPOIC 1000 is a food supplement based on alpha lipoic acid, cinnamon and chromium.

Lipoic acid has two main functions: it plays a key role in metabolic reactions that lead to the production of cellular energy and acts as a cofactor in the reactions that underlie antioxidant processes.

In athletes, it helps protect the athlete's tissues from excessive damage from free radicals produced during high oxygen consumption and has an "insulin-mimetic" action, helping to manage carbohydrate intake.

Chromium contributes to the normal metabolism of macronutrients and the maintenance of normal blood glucose levels; cinnamon instead contributes to the metabolism of carbohydrates.
